Tabs inside of tabs

I am trying to implement a tab strip inside of another tab strip. I am worried about callbacks triggering correctly. Also, I do not want the two layers of tabs to be displayed at all times. Instead, it would be nice if I could show the inner tab strip only when the correct parent tab is selected.

Does anyone have a working snippet which I can work from in order to achieve this.
Many thanks in advance,

Patrick

Tabs are a sticky hassle but I see no reason why a nested TAB would create exponential problems.

I would first get the outer tab strip working using a "text" box in place of the inner tab, THEN get that one working. I would also, contradicting the previous sentance, get a very simple example working with inner and outer tabs and nothing else. I'd then post it here so others won't go through all the hair pulling you are in for!

I'm guessing there may be some dbeTabInner ->"right" or dbeTabInner ->"bottom" issue you will need to explore and resolve; different than those of a dbeText. I would, in fact just about always do, type randomly on the keyboard until it works, then stop.

I would use two tab callback functions, but its reasonable to use just one:

DBE   dbeTabMain, dbeTabInner
void  TabCallback(DBE in_dbeTab)
{  if (in_dbeTab == dbeTabMain)
   { deal with MAIN tab changes
   }
   elseif(in_dbeTab == dbeTabInner)
   { deal with INNER tab changes
   }
   else i made a mistake
}
bla bla
dbeTabMain = tab...
dbeTabInner = tab...
set(dbeTabMain, TabCallback)
set(dbeTabInner, TabCallback)
